Training Sessions:  TDM 101

Recognizing that reconstructing the I-435/Front Street Interchange will cause backups and slow moving traffic that is sure to increase the time employers and their employees need to drive between home and work, to run errands, to make deliveries, and to receive shipments, MoDOT held Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Training Sessions for the I-435 DDI from late September to early October. The sessions were geared to help area employees, especially Human Resource Managers, learn more about the DDI and how TDM strategies like ridesharing, changing work hours, managing shipping/receiving times and knowing when the best times are to travel could be used to ease the drive during construction. The sessions were formatted as open houses and were held over the lunch hour. Approximately 250 companies were invited to participate in the trainings.
